airBaltic to link Riga and Bari

On June 4, the Latvian national airline airBaltic will start operating flights on Riga- Bari route, linking this Southern Italian city via North Hub Riga with airports in the Baltics, Northern Europe, Russia and CIS.
Tero Taskila, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: “The residents of Apulia and surrounding regions will now enjoy convenient connections to Northern and Eastern airports like Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, St.Petersburg, Moscow and many others. As a city on the Adriatic coast, Bari will also attract visitors from the Baltics, Scandinavia and Russia.”
Domenico Di Paola, CEO of Apulian Airports: “I am happy that for the first time Bari and Apulia are directly linked with the Baltic States. The importance of the new service lies in the significantly improved connections to Scandinavia, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. I am looking forward to positive market response from the residents of Bari and Apulia to fly this route and support it in the long term. "
airBaltic will fly from Riga to Bari once a week on Saturdays. Passengers will board a Boeing 737 aircraft for a flight that will last for two hours and 55 minutes.
