Maximus Air Cargo reported record performance in July

Maximus Air Cargo, the Middle East's largest freight operator, has reported record performance in July for its Airbus A300-GOORF it acquired in March 2011, an increase of 14 per cent month on month to 638 hours, according to the Shipping Gazette.
The wet-leased regional aircraft, operated by Maximus under an ACMI agreement ( Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance & Insurance) on behalf of Etihad Crystal Cargo, has increased its charter services and deployed new destinations of Vienna, Damascus, Baghdad and Khartoum.
"The ability of Etihad to cost effectively meet the increased demand is testimony to the excellent working relationship we have together. Already the Middle East's largest all-cargo operator, Maximus is also a pioneering ACMI leasing provider," said company president and CEO Fathi Buhazza in a company statement.
"We were able to call on our extensive crew and Air Operating Certificate, to ensure Etihad retained its high dispatch reliability, supported by a comprehensive maintenance and spare parts service, while at all times focusing on reducing operating costs so as to deliver to Etihad operational reliability and optimum profit margins."
Maximus Air Cargo is a significant regional air cargo carrier and cargo aircraft ACMI lease operator, employing more than 200 and operating a fleet of eight cargo aircraft comprising an Antonov An-124-100, Airbus A300-600RP2Fs and Ilyushin IL-76TD across the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.
