Estonian Air breaks sales records during the Travel Trade Fair TOUREST 2012

During the international Travel Fair TOUREST 2012, Estonian Air sold more seats than expected – 75% more than the year before.
On Friday, the first day of the Travel Fair, the online sales were several times higher than usual. This is the largest one day sales both by turnover and seats.
The most requested destinations during the fair were Paris, Copenhagen, London, Kiev and Brussels. The most popular Estonian Air new destinations were Vienna and Hanover.
“We can see that our extended route network and increased frequencies offer people a wider set of options. I am very pleased to say that all of our routes found buyers,“ said Rauno Parras, the CCO of Estonian Air.
Estonian Air continues to offer good fares to attractive destinations on Estonian Air homepage.
The international Travel Trade Fair TOUREST 2012 took place 17-19 February at Estonian Fairs exhibition centre in Tallinn. During three days, TOUREST gathered a record of 26 080 visitors. The exhibitors came from 26 countries.
Estonian Air, Estonia’s national carrier, provides both business travellers and tourists direct flights from Estonia to European cities. Estonian Air is the biggest operator at Tallinn Airport.
Estonian Air flies to 24 destinations in Europe, Scandinavia and CIS countries. Estonian Air focuses on improving the connection between Estonia and the rest of the world with the aim of increasing competitiveness as a network carrier hub.
The airline will open several new destinations in this year’s spring, such as Helsinki, Riga, Jyväskylä, Hanover, Vienna, Venice, Joensuu, Kajaani and Tbilisi. Estonian Air has also increased significantly the flight frequencies to Amsterdam, Brussels, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Vilnius, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
