The 5th Air Cargo China will open its doors on 5 June 2012 with a 20 per cent increase in the amount of exhibition space compared with the previous event. It is Asia’s most important exhibition for air cargo and will be held – incorporated in the 3-day-long leading trade fair transport logistic China – at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
Airlines, airports, logistics hubs and aircraft manufacturers from 26 countries have already registered for the exhibition. They include, for example, Air China Cargo, China Cargo Airlines, Hong Kong Airfreight Holding Company, Saudi Airlines Cargo Company, Sky Team Cargo, Qatar Airways and Singapore’s Changi Airport Group. Exhibitors from the United Arab Emirates, China, Hong Kong and the USA will form the largest presence.
The Air Cargo China Conference will also be staged during the exhibition. The topic of this year’s Conference will be “Two-way traffic – Air cargo’s big balancing act”. The Conference will be chaired by Bernd Maresch, Managing Director of Hans Mars. Other speakers will include Fathi H. Buhazza, President and CEO of Maximus Air and founder of Care by Air, Marco Bloemen from Seabury in Amsterdam and Huseyin Ceyhan, Far East Regional Director of Turkish Airlines.
The panel of experts will discuss the directional imbalance of air cargo to and from China and other parts of East Asia, as well as the changes taking place in this most important of cargo markets. They will also exchange their views and opinions regarding the effects on different parts of the supply chain.
