Estonian Air to serve direct flights between Tallinn and Tbilisi

Estonian national airline Estonian Air opened for the first time in its 20 years of operations the route from Tallinn to Georgia’s capital Tbilisi.
„Opening a new air link between Tbilisi and Tallinn is a significant event and represents a logical continuation of existing exceptional relations between Georgia and Estonia,“ said the Ambassador of Georgia to Estonia,  Ruslan Abashidze at the inauguration ceremony of the new route at Tallinn Airport today.
“Georgia with its diverse nature, ancient history, hospitality and cuisine will for sure become one of the most popular destinations not only for travelers from Estonia, but also attract the Scandinavian region as well. The most important point is that Georgia is an all year round destination that can offer high standard mountain skiing, luxury beach resorts, developed tourism infrastructure, may give an opportunity for business and investment and at the same time still lets the traveler to enjoy untouched and preserved nature,“ added Abashidze.
According to Rauno Parras, the Commercial Manager of Estonian Air, Georgia has a big potential as a tourist destination, which has not been discovered enough by Estonians. „In general, Tbilisi is linking the whole region for those who want to discover more – it takes only few hours to get to Armenia, Turkey or  Azerbaijan,“ said Parras.
Direct flights on Tallinn – Tbilisi route are operated four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
