Continental Temic in the Philippines and DB Schenker have signed a three-year contract for the warehousing of raw materials. The Continental Temic plant in Taguig manufactures electronic brake systems and security systems. The main activity of DB Schenker will be the storage and delivery to the production line of raw materials as well as the loading of finished goods into containers.
The contract is the first with Continental Asia in Contract Logistics. DB Schenker is also responsible for customs clearance and the management of an external overflow warehouse.
“This contract could be the kick-off for further warehouse activities for Continental in Asia” said Marcus Balzereit, Director of Logistics, Schenker Philippines Inc. “The agreement is an important step towards the development of our business relationships.”
