Hong Kong International Airport awards carbon reduction award to AAT

Hong Kong's Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT), the airport's second ground handler, has been awarded the Most Effective Carbon Reduction Bronze Award in the airport's carbon reduction programme, the Shipping Gazette informs.
The Hong Kong International Airport is on track to lower its carbon emission by 25 per cent by 2015 from 2008 levels, with a 10 per cent drop last year aided by the support of 40 business partners and the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK).
AAT general manager Chan Yee Lin said on accepting the award from AAHK chief executive officer Stanley Hui: "AAT is alongside HKIA in recognising the importance of conducting businesses in a "green" manner. It is through such responsible action and transparency that truly creates sustainability for the aviation industry."
