Taiwan International Ports Corporation Ltd will be among the special guests

  13.06.2012

The newly-formed Taiwan International Ports Corporation Ltd will be among the special guests at the annual conference of project forwarding network the Project Professionals Group in Bangkok from 25-27 July, 2012.
The Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC) began operations in March and merges all of Taiwan’s international commercial ports including the ports of Keelung, Taichung, Kaohsiung and Hualien, as well as a number of auxiliary ports.
PPG General Manager Kevin Stephens said TIPC Chairman Dr Ding-hsun Hsiao would be making a joint presentation to delegates with Port Corpus Christi Executive Director John La Rue.
Mr Stephens said Taiwan was one of East Asia’s most important commercial and logistics centers and as a result was of significant interest to project forwarders.
“Conference attendees will be well placed to learn more about the growing over-dimensional transportation opportunities in mainland China and other East Asian markets,” Mr Stephens said.
Other senior port authority executives attending the conference include the President and Chief Executive of the Port San Antonio, Bruce Miller, and Vice-President Business Development Jorge Canavati.
Presentations will also be made by Rickmers-Linie GmbH, Hansa Heavy Lift GmbH, Sea Concert (Thailand) and Leschaco (Thailand), along with major international media partners.
PPG’s fifth annual conference has attracted nearly 100 registrations and will be held at the Millennium Hilton Bangkok.
