CMA CGM to continue east coast South America loop
French shipping giant CMA CGM has announced it will continue its Brazil Express service (Brazex) to the South American east coast and Caribbean trade despite Maersk Line's decision to withdraw.
Marseilles-based CMA CGM, the world's second largest container carrier after Maersk, said it will continue to provide the service it has developed over 10 years. Service and schedule adjustments taking place in November will be announced later. It rotated weekly through Paranagua, Itajai, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena, Manzanillo (Panama), Kingston, Port of Spain, Santos and back to Paranagua.
