Visakha Container Terminal (VCT) was acknowledged as the ‘Fastest Growing Container Terminal of the Year’ at the recent South East CEO Conclave & Awards 2012 held in Chennai on July 13.
Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) was recognised as the ‘Major Port of the Year’, Exim News Service reports.
VCT posted a growth rate of over 60 per cent during 2011-12, the highest by any container terminal in the country. The terminal management thanked all its partners in progress for their continued patronage and support, "without which the coveted award would not have been possible".
