Changes in check-in arrangements at Chopin Airport

  01.08.2012

As of Wednesday 1 August, passengers no longer check in for their flights in the departures hall in the old part of Terminal A, as all check-ins have been moved to the new part of the building.
Other facilities relocated from the old part of the terminal building (zone A,B) include airline and tour operator offices, a post office, the left luggage office and lost and found office.
The changes are part of the preparations to close zone A,B of Terminal A. Work on the old part of the building with a distinctive, claret roof is due to start in September. The old terminal will be integrated with the new part of the building (zone C,D,E) to form a single, architecturally and functionally coherent structure.
After the makeover, the upgraded area of the terminal will house more check-in desks and security screening points, as well as new baggage sorters. Work will also include the construction of an underground passageway linking the arrivals hall to the airport railway station.
The work is scheduled to finish in December 2014.
