Aéroports de Paris and Air France-KLM Cargo to host TIACA’s Air Cargo Forum & Exposition in 2016

  07.11.2012

Paris will stage the 28th International Air Cargo Forum & Exposition in 2016, hosted by Aéroports de Paris and Air France-KLM Cargo.
The International Air Cargo Association’s (TIACA) biennial event brings together thousands of air cargo industry leaders, customers and over 200 exhibitors from approximately 100 countries. The forum and exposition was previously hosted in Paris in 1998. ACF 2016 will take place in Paris from October 26th-28th 2016.
Michael Steen, Chairman of TIACA, said: “We are honored that Aéroports de Paris and Air France-KLM Cargo are bringing the Air Cargo Forum back to Paris, following the success of our previous event in this great city. We know that Paris will be an extremely popular host city with our members, delegates, sponsors and exhibitors, who are always attracted to events in the major air cargo capitals of the world. Paris is a first class cargo hub and with the support of Aéroports de Paris and Air France-KLM Cargo we know ACF 2016 is destined to continue its success as air cargo’s premier industry event.”
Prior to Paris, the 27th International Air Cargo Forum & Exposition will take place in Seoul, Korea on October 7th-9th 2014, hosted by Incheon Airport.
Pierre Olivier Bandet, SVP Marketing & Network, Air France-KLM Cargo, said: "The cargo community in Paris is delighted at the prospect of organizing such a spectacular event as the Air Cargo Forum and in following the great cities of Amsterdam, Atlanta and Seoul."
Franck Goldnadel, Managing Director of Paris-CDG Airport, added: "Hosting ACF 2016 is a clear signal that all cargo partners are interested in promoting the cargo activities at CDG Airport, the number one airport for cargo in Europe."
Air France Cargo and KLM Cargo joined forces in 2005, making at the time AF-KL Cargo the world’s biggest airline group in the cargo industry. AF-KL Cargo offers seamless air transport services with more than 400 destinations globally. Dedicated to expanding operational excellence, AF-KL Cargo works with customs authorities on e-freight and is developing e-tools to give customers 24/7 access. Air France-KLM operates more than 550 aircraft, including 14 freighters, and its global cargo turnover exceeds €3 billion.
Aéroports de Paris builds, develops and manages airports including Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly and Paris-Le Bourget. In 2011, Aéroports de Paris handled more than 88 million passengers and almost 2.5 million tons of freight and mail. With an exceptional geographic location and a major catchment area, the Group is pursuing its strategy of adapting and modernizing its terminal facilities and upgrading service quality.  In 2011, the Group’s revenue stood at €2,502 million, with net income of €348 million.
