Renaissance Hotel is taking shape

Installation and finishing works are underway in a five-star Renaissance hotel at Warsaw Chopin Airport. The hotel will welcome its first guests this autumn.
The topping out ceremony marking the end of the shell construction was held in mid-November. Currently, installation and finishing works are underway. A few days ago the roof structure for the ballroom, one of the biggest in Warsaw, was also completed.
“All the building work is going according to schedule despite the severe winter weather,” said Karolina Szydełkowska, the spokesperson for ALPINE Construction Polska, the company building the hotel.
The Renaissance at Chopin Airport will be the first hotel of the brand to open in Central-Eastern Europe. The 11-storey building will have a 3-storey car park and 225 rooms, providing accommodation for 400 guests. It will also offer five conference rooms with a total area of 650 sq. m., a swimming pool, SPA, fitness centre and a restaurant.
The hotel is owned by Chopin Airport’s operator ‘Polish Airports’, who also financed its construction. It will be operated by Port-Hotel Spółka z o.o., which signed an international Renaissance Hotel franchise agreement for Renaissance Hotel with Global Hospitality Licensing.
Work on the building is due to be completed in the third quarter of 2013. The hotel will open its door in late autumn.
